Test doorbells before entering
Confirm that alarm is set and operating properly
Confirm that all exterior doors are locked and secured
Confirm that all windows are closed and locked and secured
Check for evidence of water leaks or damage and check for visual signs of mold and mildew.
Inspect for insect and rodent infestations/droppings or other animal intrusions
Check air filters
Check that A/C is cooling and reset thermostat and humidistat settings if needed.

Weekly Inspections of Your Property

Test all lighting: replace dead bulbs
Test ceiling fans
Inspect breaker box and confirm operating correctly make sure electric water heater breaker is turned off.
Confirm that refrigerator and freezer are operating properly
Dispose of perishables
Run faucets, sink disposals, and flush toilets.
Confirm that exhaust fans are operating properly

Check that main water valve is turned off after each inspection (unless otherwise requested by client). A detailed Home Watch Inspection Report is completed during each inspection displaying the condition of your property along with the date and time the inspection was completed. So you will know that an inspector was actually at your property.
